

These are the descriptions of the six classes that cycle each week. Each class is an hour long and is scheduled after Sunday service. You must be signed up, seating is limited in the PLBS classroom.
INTRODUCTION. It is an introduction to House of Rest Church, including the history, the leaders and belief statement. Along with some of our ministries and events.
ASSURANCE OF SALVATION - Teaches believers the assurance of their salvation by showing that confidence in Christ comes from God’s Word, Jesus’ finished work on the cross, and the inner witness of the Holy Spirit. It explains that salvation is a gift of grace, secure and dependable, so believers can walk in peace and confidence in their relationship with God.
HOW TO - Teaches believers the importance of making disciples and shows them how to confidently share their personal testimony in under two minutes. This class equips Christians to communicate the gospel clearly and effectively, maximizing impact when speaking with strangers or new connections.
UNDERSTAND PRAYER - teaches believers the importance of developing a strong prayer life by understanding what the Bible says about prayer. This class provides practical guidelines on how to pray, helping believers build consistency, confidence, and intimacy with God through daily prayer.
DAILY LIVING - teaches the importance of maintaining a daily devotional life, showing how consistent time in Scripture and reflection builds spiritual strength and maturity. By developing daily devotion habits, believers deepen their walk with God and grow in clarity, direction, and spiritual edification.
CHURCH GATHERING - highlights the importance of belonging to a church family, teaching what it means to be connected, supported, and unified with the body of Christ. It also explains why giving—through time, talent, and finances—is essential for spiritual growth and for strengthening the mission of the church.
